What We Reach for on a Sunday Morning

From church to brunch... as we know, Sundays are not about dressing up and looking cute just because! Sundays (and all other days) are about Jesus! In Matthew 6 Jesus speaks on the Father's care for creation, noting that if He clothes the fields of flowers (which are here today and gone tomorrow) more beautifully than King Solomon in his glory, He will provide clothing for his people too. This is my boutique's core verse, because it is a reminder to me that we don't have to worry about what we will eat, drink, or what we will wear, because God provides! With that being said, it is FUN to dress up on Sundays to worship the Lord and commune with others. My go-to church outfits include wearing jeans and a fun shirt, dresses, or Carhartt overalls on a really casual day. I'm sure this changes depending on what type of church you go to! I go to a non denominational church, where attire is pretty casual. At Lynne&L'amour, we carry many pieces that work great for church & brunch to follow :) Currently, my favorite combination would be the Savannah Wide Leg jeans with the Buttercup tank, Tangerine Ruffle Top, Limoncello Sweater, or Grotto Pointelle Sweater. The Savannah Wide Leg jeans can go with ANYTHING! They can be dressed up with heels or espadrilles, or dressed down with sandals, flats, or a tennis shoe. Plus, they are SO incredibly comfortable and stretchy. Any colorful top I would pair these jeans with, plus our Maverick Cowhide sandals. I would personally wear a little sweater or jacket over a tank top (especially if it gets cold inside your church), something like the Nora Crochet cardigan could be perfect for spring and summer. We have multiple jumpsuits or dresses that also are a great option (Havana Keyhole Jumpsuit, Delilah Dress, Juliet or Calypso Jumpsuit - to name a few), I personally love these options because you don't have to match anything if it's in one outfit already! Then you just have to decide on shoes and jewelry (minimal if you're me)! I also carry the STS Cremello Crossbody Clutch, which has a conceal carry pocket my ladies, but it's neutral so it goes with any outfit and has just the right amount of space for all my much needed nick-nacks.
